Karen J. Burns

Karen is an audit partner with Ireland San Filippo, LLP's Construction & Real Estate Assurance & Advisory Group. Her understanding of the needs of privately held businesses and their desire to maximize financial income while minimizing taxes has made her a valued partner to her clients throughout her nearly twenty year career in public accounting. Karen's approach encompasses her belief that privately held companies and their owners are intricately linked because in this environment, business is personal. Her experience includes operational and financial services to her clients, including not only financial compliance audits and reviews, but acquisition due diligence, best practices in internal control considerations and other related matters. Karen is a licensed CPA in both California and Nevada, and is an active community member including working with the StarStruck Community Theatre in Fremont.
